Femke Halsema is ‘the adolescence’

Femke Halsema believes that she and her 51-year “best midlife” is. The old leader is very uncertain. “I have a daughter of thirteen who is awfully the adolescence, and who has a mother who is also the adolescence is.”

In conversation with Margriet says Halsema that it is “tempting” it is to let drag in her own period of uncertainty and that her own stemmingenook becoming less predictable. “And you can’t really afford to have with a thirteen year old daughter. I also have a son of thirteen, boys in puberty are really a lot calmer.”

Her age will find them “complicated”. “As a child I thought that if you are above fifty, you are very old. It is such a mevrouwenleeftijd, but I feel I’m still not much of a lady.”

According to Halsema is the age that forces you to think. “Because you have so many years in front of you: what do I want?”
