Gee whiz, artists are so sensitive!
City sculptor Alex Gardega — fuming about the “Fearless Girl” statue is placed in front of the Wall Street “Charging Bull” — has decided to take revenge with a work of his own.
Gardega created a picture of a small dog, with the title “Pissing Pug,” and are sloppily made pooch takes direct aim at “Fearless Girl” — or, at least, on her left leg.
“This is a corporate bullshit,” Gardega told The Post of “Fearless Girl,” says the opposite artist Arturo Di Modica, the famous bull as a publicity stunt by a Boston-based financial company.
“It has nothing to do with feminism, and the lack of respect for the artist who is the bull,” he said. “That bull had integrity.”
The Upper West Side artist sniffed that he even made his dog very badly just stick to “Fearless Girl” even more.
“I decided to build this dog and make it crappy to downgrade the statue, exactly how the girl is a downgrade on the bull,” said Gardega, who has never met the other images’ creators.
But many female passers-by Monday, said: “Fearless Girl” has come to represent women on Wall Street and just about anyone standing financial firms — and that Gardega’s peeing dog is misogynistic.
