Hans the King will be after this season, say goodbye to FC Volendam. The expiring contract of the 58-year-old coach will not be extended by the number fifteen in the Kitchen Champion Division.
“When we started, we agreed that we are together nothing is mandatory,” says The King Tuesday to NH Sports. “Volendam wants to have a different structure to work, well, that’s fine.”
The former goalkeeper began in October to his second period at FC Volendam, after he between 2012 and 2015 also already worked at the club from the fishing village.
The King was the successor of Misha Salden, who, because of disappointing results, was fired. The former player of the club, however, continued as manager of technical affairs.
Volendam booked under The King nine victories, played seven times equal and lost six times. The born Rotterdammer was previously head coach at FC Dordrecht, FC Oss, AGOVV, Helmond Sport, Go Ahead Eagles and RKC Waalwijk.
Chairman Henk Kras said on Monday against the AD all that Volendam was looking for a new trainer. He did not deny that Wim Jonk one of the candidates was.
