FC Twente takes Slagveer and Cuevas, Heerenveen rents goalkeeper Hansen

FC Twente last Thursday, the transfer of Luciano Slagveer completed. The 23-year-old attacker is on a rental basis from the Belgian KSC Lokeren, where he will start this summer, a multi-year contract signed. Also Cristian Cuevas is the ranks of Twente strengthen.

Slagveer has played the last few years, for sc Heerenveen, where he was in 2013 made his debut. The attacker swapped Friesland earlier this summer for Lokeren, but will now be back in the Premier league.

“The first months in Belgium, are not become what I had expected,” explains Slagveer on the site of FC Twente. “After the trainerswissel I would have less chance to play and I hope I am here at FC Twente to realize. I want to be myself here and prove to perform with the national team.”

Slagveer got at Lokeren in the first three league games of the season even though playing time as a substitute. The former jeugdinternational of Orange has a total of 117 Eredivisieduels behind his name.

Twente made on Deadline Day the arrival is known from Cuevas, a 22-year-old full-from Chile this season is rented from Huachipato Sadp. Cuevas was in the season 2013/2014 leased to Vitesse, in Arnhem he came never further then races for the beloftenelftal.

For FC Twente, that the first three matches played this season lost, Slagveer and Cuevas the eleventh and twelfth acquisition this summer.

Heerenveen, the netherlands fortified themselves on the final day of the transfer market, with Martin Hansen. The Danish goalkeeper will be for the rest of the season rental from FC Ingolstadt 04, a club from the Second Bundesliga.

Hansen was from 2014 to 2016, under contract with ADO Den Haag, where the 27-year-old goalkeeper in August 2015, caused a sensation by with a hakbal to score against PSV.

Hansen is still up until mid-2020 at Ingolstadt, that his contract in June is still extended.


VVV-Venlo has the rest of the season, the decision about Kelechi Nwakali. The Nigerian midfielder, who in 2015 at the world cup under-17 was named best player of the tournament, is hired by Arsenal.

Nwakali was last season by Arsenal all on loan to MVV Maastricht. Manager Stan Valckx of TOURIST is very happy with the arrival of the 19-year-old talent.

“Nwakali was already on our list, but it was best to wait until all the paperwork around would come. Ultimately, it is nice that everything still could be finished on the Deadline Day.”

PEC Zwolle

PEC Zwolle takes on Nicolas Freire for two seasons on a rental basis from the Uruguayan Atletico Torque. Technical director Gerard Nijkamp of the Zwolle club sees in him an immediate reinforcement.

“Nicolas was, through contacts of trainer John van ‘t schip with the City Football Group, has long been on our wish list, and I am very content that it succeeded to him to the selection to add,” says Nijkamp on the site of PEC.

“With him we get a robust, linksbenige defender of the inboard, that is especially central, but also as full from the feet can. Despite his relatively young age he has already 54 matches in the legs, and he was the past period to be the captain of his club.”
