FC Twente step closer to title in the First Division after victory at Go Ahead

FC Twente Sunday, a big step towards the title in the Kitchen Champion Division. The leader won the topper on visit number three Go Ahead Eagles 1-2.

Twente seemed pleased to have to take with a 1-1-tie, but in the 81e minute made Aitor Cantalapiedra still for the winning 1-2, though he had the help of the grabbelende goalkeeper Hobie Verhulst necessary.

The Tukkers were in the sixteenth minute on a 0-1-ahead come by a rake header from Jari Oosterwijk, but saw it Go Ahead in the 71st minute to come alongside thanks to Thomas Verheijdt, who is also the head scored.

The results did not do justice to the balances on the field. Twente did in the second half barely a chance to create and was at the time of the 1-2 under heavy pressure.

Twente has the victory after thirty of the 38 speelrondes still a lead of eleven points on the closest pursuer Sparta Rotterdam, that earlier on Sunday in his own house, narrowly won by NEC: 1-0.

Go Ahead can by the defeat to focus on the play-offs for promotion to the Premier league. The Deventenaren already have a backlog of fifteen points on FC Twente.

Sparta wins thanks to a goal from Ache

Sparta had the victory at the NEC thanks to a goal from Ragnar Ache. The revitalised attacker was in the fortieth minute accurate after good preparatory work from Royston Drenthe.

That at 1-0 it remained, was a small miracle. There was three times the aluminum hit. Laros Duarte, Ache (both Sparta), and Josef Kvida (NEC) met all the lat or the pole.

The loaded Limburg derby between Roda JC and MVV Maastricht provided later on Sunday no winner. The numbers nine and ten, and played in Kerkrade with 2-2 equal.

Roda JC was more than ten minutes before time on a 2-0-lead by goals of Livio Milts and Mart Remans, but missed that comfortable margin in the end, thanks to hits by Anthony van den Hurk and Jordy Croux.

Eric van der Luer knew this to be a somewhat disappointing debut as interim coach of Roda JC. He followed at the beginning of this week, the fired Robert Miller.
