FC Twente last Thursday, Gonzalo García García was appointed as the trainer for the coming season. Current SC Cambuur-trainer René Hake is the new coach of Jong FC Utrecht in the Kitchen Champion Division.
García García was assistant in Enschede and sign up for a year. He is the successor of Marino Pusic. Pusic was earlier this month despite the championship in the Kitchen Champion league and the accompanying promotion to the Premier league to put aside. According to Twente there was a difference of opinion.
“Gonzalo, I know from my time at AGOVV, for over sixteen years. I’ve been with him the same voetbalklik as I had with trainers such as Peter Bosz and Fred Rutten,” explains technical director Ted van Leeuwen, the choice for the 35-year-old García García.
“Trainers with a clear voetbalplan and do not deviate. Gonzalo is still young, but is ready for the hoofdtrainerschap. In his head he is for years trainer.”
The born Quarter García García was previously assistant coach at the Danish Esbjerg fB. As a player he came out for AGOVV, Heerenveen, Heracles Almelo, FC Groningen, VVV-Venlo, AEK Larnaca, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Anarthosis Famagusta and SD Compostela.

García García: ‘of Course there will be doubts’
García García has, despite his limited experience as a trainer is confident that his time as head coach in Enschede is a success.
“I’m ready. I’m still young and of course there will be doubts. Who doubts there will be maybe even after three months, but after a month or six, that is hopefully different,” he says.
“I have a voetbalidee that is in line with the philosophy that FC Twente. That is also the club that I still know from my time when I myself as a player against played soccer.”
FC Twente drew last season under trainer Pusic the championship three speelrondes for the end safely. The Enschedeërs return after one season back in the Premier league.

Hake at the battle of Jong FC Utrecht
Former FC Twente coach Hake is going to be next season to get started as a coach of Young FC Utrecht. He has a contract for three seasons, agreed.
Hake is now coach of SC Cambuur. He can with his current club still in the play-offs for promotion to the Premier league force. SC Cambuur made two months ago is already known that Hake at the end of this season would leave.
Henk de Jong, on this moment, the trainer of The County, follows Hake next season with SC Cambuur.
