Fox Business’ Charles Payne host of “making money with Charles Payne,” offered his Twitter followers a differentiated take on a controversial moment in the Michael Cohen hearing on Wednesday before the House Oversight Committee.
COHEN LOBS BOMBS AT TRUMP
During the hearing, and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich. and Mark Meadows, R-N. C., came on the presence of a long-term Trump’s aides and officials from the Department of housing and Urban development, Lynne Patton, who was invited to visit by meadows. Tlaib suggested that Patton, who is black, was invited as a “prop” against Cohen’s narrative of Trump as a racist. “To show you that I asked someone who pointed a personal friend of the Trump family that worked for him, who knows this certain Person (Cohen), that they come in a prop-it is racist to claim that I asked you to come here for this reason.”
TLAIB RAISES THE SPECTER OF RACISM
Exchange ultimately led to Payne’s tweet noted on Thursday: “What is Racist? Assuming that a Black woman is behind the Republicans during a crowded hearing is a “prop” or under the assumption that said Black woman accomplished enough to be in the room on your own merit?”
The entire line of discourse followed Cohen’s incendiary testimony, in which the longtime trump attorney and fixer as his ex-boss“ a racist. He is a conman. He is a cheater.”

On Thursday, on the House floor, the two legislators appeared to have reconciled. Payne’s tweet, though, was a clear allusion to the notion that on this subject there are no easy answers.
