Strzok has been removed from the special counsel probe last year after discovering that he replaced the anti-Trump, and other politically sensitive messages with colleagues, and lovers Lisa page.
In June, he was accompanied by his FBI office and lost his security clearance in the midst of the release of a scathing DOJ inspector General report, which dealt largely with the DOJ and FBI handling of the investigation into Clinton’s private E-Mail server, but revealed-news “appeared to mix political opinion with discussions” about the probe, namely, between the Strzok and page.
The IG found no evidence that the bias among several FBI agents in the affected prosecutorial decisions in the Clinton E-Mail probe. But the Republicans have repeatedly expressed concerns that anti-Trump bias played a role in the beginning of the investigation in the Russian interference and possible collusion with the trump-employees in the year 2016.
A Strzok text, in particular, vowed to stop Trump from becoming President.
In an explosive congressional hearing last month, Strzok sought to clear his name and the address of the many controversial messages. He claimed that his personal opinion has no influence on his work. But the Republicans will crack in the FBI officials to say with the House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, he was “textbook bias.”
Trump allies cheered the former agent notice of termination on Monday.
“Peter Strzok was fired from the FBI because of what showed his own written words clearly: he was willing to use his official FBI position to try and stop President Trump selected from always. He has the FBI sterling reputation, and severely damaged public trust in an institution where the trust is of the utmost importance. His behavior should every American be alarmed,” the house freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, R-N. C., said in a statement to Fox News.
Strzok lawyer, in the meantime, the Bureau blasted on Monday, said the Deputy Director of the “overturned the decision of the career FBI official responsible for the employee discipline have found, through an independent review process, that a 60-day suspension and demotion from Supervisory duties was the appropriate penalty.”
He added, “A lengthy investigation and several rounds of Congressional testimony, could not produce a trace of proof that Special Agent Strzok personal views always influence on his work.”
The Ministry of justice and the FBI declined to comment for this report.
Text messages first appeared last year, shows Strzok and page discuss the 2016 campaign politics, and again and again, blasting trump. In a message, Strzok Trump called “idiots”.
News continues to trickle out, including some reflects, obviously, the concern about being too hard on Clinton, the use during the investigation in your private E-Mail system.
The inspector General’s report, meanwhile, referred to a total of five FBI employees for investigation in connection with politically motivated texts, suggesting that more disciplinary actions could be considered for additional staff.
