Special counsel Robert Müller received a search warrant for Michael Cohen E-Mail accounts reported much earlier than in the past; chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge reports.
The Federal investigation into the former trump lawyer Michael Cohen began almost a year before the agents searched his home and business in April 2018, newly unsealed court documents Tuesday revealing.
The massive trove of files that showed in relation to the government of the warrant, that the Federal investigators obtained a warrant for E-Mails from Cohen’s Gmail account “on or around 18. July of 2017.” The E-Mails were retrieved and reviewed, dated between Jan. 1, 2016, and 18. July, 2017.

Weeks later, the FBI sought and received a search warrant — on or around Aug. 8, 2017 — for the communication and the data records stored in Cohen’s iCloud account. In November 2017, the FBI sought and obtained a separate search warrant for Cohen’s Google Mail account, in relation to communications “sent or received between the 1. June 2016 and 13. November 2017.”
Cohen, well-known finally, a plea of guilty to a number of fees, bank and tax fraud, campaign Finance violations and with making false statements to the Congress. The latter arose from the Special Counsel, to Robert Mueller’s investigation, but the rest of the cost came from the investigation handled by the New York federal prosecutors. Cohen, who delivered recently, explosive testimony, Congress critical of trump, is expected to serve to report to jail in may, a three-year sentence.
The documents unsealed, show Tuesday, Mueller on the investigation of Cohen until February 2018, was before the case to the Prosecutor’s office for the Southern district of New York. The documents show that Mueller’s team was the review of all communications and records of the warrant, specifically in the context of Cohen’s relationships with foreign companies, and whether he was working as an unregistered foreign agent.

“The SCO has since referred to certain aspects of the investigation Cohen, the USAO, working with the FBI New York Field Office,” the court records state “As part of the recommendations, on or about Feb. 8, 2018, the SCO if the USAO all non-privileged E-Mails and other content, the information received in accordance with the Cohen E-Mail address, and Cohen iCloud account.”
Cohen, who has been criticized for its non-registered foreign contacts and relationships, has never been accused, with error registry as a foreign agent under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
But Tuesday’s court filings detail in Cohen financial exchange with foreign institutions—including Russia-linked US firm Columbus Nova; Swiss pharmaceutical company, Novartis; is a South Korean company; and a Kazakh bank. All entities, transferred hundreds of thousands of dollars in a Cohen-bank account as “Essential Consulting”—the account that ultimately, the former adult film star Stormy Daniels paid for. In total, between January 2017 and January 2018, Cohen received $almost 2.9 million credit transfers and cheques from foreign companies.
Despite the initial warrants almost a year ago, the non-performing FBI, the raid of Cohen’s home, office, and hotel rooms to 9. April 2018. Agent drew evidence for a variety of problems, including its relations with foreign companies, to cover-up his personal business with taxi medallions, his payments to Daniels in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential elections, an alleged affair with then-candidate Donald Trump.
