Faye Dunaway has been removed from the solo-woman Broadway play, “Tea At Five.”

In a statement to Deadline on Thursday, the producers, Ben Feldman, Scott Beck, said: “The producers of ” Tea at Five”) today announced that they have made in their relationship, ended with Faye Dunaway.

“The plans are in development for the play to have its West End debut at the beginning of next year, with a new actress for the role of Katharine Hepburn,” the statement added.

The “Mommie Dearest” actress is set to star Katherine Hepburn in the revival of Matthew Lombardo’s bio-play, before the news of her elimination hit the headlines.

When the project was first announced in December, and on the same day of play “on the Network” — a stage adaptation of the 1976 film that scored Dunaway is an academy award — it opened on Broadway.

At the time, the producers told the news outlet that the production starts in 2019, but did not specify when.

According to the publication, “Tea At Five” was to be helmed by Tony-nominated director John Tillinger, and it would have been for the 78-year-old Dunaway’s first return to Broadway after a nearly 40-year absence.
