French Weghorst, the father of Orange-international and VfL Wolfsburg-striker Wout Weghorst, Thursday, joined the board of directors (supervisory board) of FC Twente.
The 58-year-old French Weghorst, who until last year november general manager of brandstoffengroothandel AVIA Weghorst, has been involved with FC Twente.
The Bornenaar plays an important role in The Noaber, a group of investors from the region who recently FC Twente of bankruptcy saved by 14 million euro available.
In addition Weghorst the board of commissioners from acting president Dennis Skipper and Koen Groenewold. Last year left Sarah Lohman and Bernard French. It is intended that the supervisory board, which in recent years much criticism received on time from five persons it will exist.
“We are within the supervisory board is very pleased with the arrival of French Weghorst,” says a Skipper on the site of FC Twente. “French has been closely involved with the club and was one of the pioneers of The ‘Noaber’, the regional diversified which is very important for the future of FC Twente.”
