Facebook starts with the run of annoying “pre-roll ads” on the videos, but only for those appear on her new Watch platform.
The 6-second pre-roll ads will begin to appear next year. “We think that they are good in Look, because it is a place where people visit and come back with the intention to look at videos,” Facebook said in a blog post on Thursday.
In other words, you won’t find the ads too annoying; pre-roll ads that appear before a video starts, are already everywhere on the other platforms, including YouTube.
For now, Facebook said that the plan is only for the testing of the pre-roll ads in places where users are searching for the content. However, the company is planning to make more videos in your News Feed, especially as a way to promote its Watch platform.

The videos pop up in your News Feed for each video publishers or creators you have searched for, or ever liked. If a video you have viewed is part of a series, expect the remaining episodes appear in the feed.
The move is designed to support video producers on Facebook Watch platform, which the company recently launched in August.
Like YouTube, the Watch, the platform aims to a variety of shows. But to do this, the attracting users and online personalities to create and upload the content of the site. (Serving ads on those videos and the ability to offer content producers a portion of the sales will tempt you some.)
As more videos pop up in your News Feed, Facebook said it is the hope that you will start with the visit of its Watch platform to discover more content, and sharing your reactions.
The watch can be found on the monitor tab icon in the upper-left corner of the Facebook interface.
