Facebook requires members to be non-essential travel to China

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – Facebook Inc. has asked staff to postpone non-essential travel to mainland China, in order to prevent the spread of the corona virus, a spokesman said on Tuesday.

The company also said that employees who had traveled to China in order to work from home.

“Out of an abundance of caution, we have taken steps to ensure the protection of the health and safety of our employees,” a spokesperson for the company told Reuters. The virus has killed more than 100 people in China, and has spread to more than 10 countries.
