‘Facebook is less popular among American teenagers”
Facebook is again this year a little less popular among U.s. teens, while Snapchat and Instagram quite continue to grow.
That predicts market researcher eMarketer in a Tuesday report published.
The total number of users of Facebook in the united states and the United Kingdom continue to grow, say the researchers, but among American and British children aged 12 to 17 years old will use approximately 3 percent.
There are this year more young people aged 12 to 24 years old on Snapchat than on Facebook, think eMarketer. Instagram is doing well among young people of 18 and 24 years, but is less popular than Snapchat and Facebook among minors.
Researchers predicted earlier several times already, that Facebook is less popular it would be among young people, but for the moment it seems that no major consequences have been for the social network.
Recently welcomed Facebook its 2 billionth user, and each quarter will see the company, the number of users is still growing. Also in the Netherlands, the number of daily Facebook users annually could rise.
Facebook is also the owner of Instagram and WhatsApp, the popular chat app in the world.
