Facebook blocks temporarily profiles of Palestinian journalists
Facebook has earlier this week the accounts of seven Palestinian journalists blocked. Six of them are back at their profile, one of them is still blocked.
It comes to the accounts of four editors of the Shebab News Agency, and three employees from Quds News Network. One of the editors of the Shebab News Agency still can not to his or her account, reports Al Jazeera.
Facebook reports across the Electronic Intifada that it is a mistake, and has apologized: “Our team processes millions of messages per week, and sometimes we are at the wrong end.”
According to the employees of the two companies, the blocking of the accounts, however, with a recent cooperation between Israel and Facebook to send messages that are calls for violence in the wake of a series Palestinian attacks on Israel.
