EYE film institute, organises exhibition on Scorsese

EYE film institute in Amsterdam organizes this summer a major exhibition about the American film director Martin Scorsese. It is a for and by EYE custom version of an itinerant exhibition, which Scorsese himself is contributing and who is now in New York to see.
Scorsese is himself a for EYE a screening program is offered. It is not yet known whether he in may to the opening. According to the museum, he is also busy with a new film.
At the exhibition are film clips on the screens to see over four hundred objects and documents from the private collection of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro.
“Some of the objects you will see are literally from the shelves and walls removed in my home, office and study room. Many of these things are very, very personal. Things from the apartment of my mother and father. Photos on the walls. And I hope that all of these objects and memorabilia, all of this, you have an idea of the lifelong passion for the cinema and what with means,” says Scorsese.
