Exeter alumni demand more from the school over sexual abuse claims

CONCORD, N. H. – Alumni from a prominent New Hampshire prep school are accusing the administration of not delivering the promised reforms after a lot of complaints accuse staff of sexual misconduct dating back decades.

The Phillips Exeter Alumni for the Truth and the Healing told The Associated Press this week that the school failed to deliver a promised mediation plan for abuse victims as well as the launching of a system for the notification of new cases of sexual misconduct.

An investigation by a law firm hired by Exeter to find credible evidence of sexual misconduct by 11 staff members, all people who have died or otherwise left the school.

An Exeter spokeswoman said Wednesday the school is to investigate the past and the support of everyone who is harmed.
