(Reuters) – The U.S. Department of Commerce may soon scale back the restrictions on the Huawei Technologies after a recent black list makes it almost impossible for the Chinese company to purchase goods made in the United States, a department spokesman said on Friday.
The Ministry of Commerce may be a temporary general license to provide time for companies and people that Huawei equipment to maintain reliability of their communication networks and equipment, the spokesman said.
