On ‘FOX & friends,’ former trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos clears the “false information” about his confession in the Russia probe.

The former trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos told the House Judiciary Committee that the FBI wanted him to wear a wire to record conversations with a foreign professor who had told him that the Russians have dirt on Hillary Clinton, but he rejected their request.

Papadopoulos, who was indicted and pleaded guilty to making false statements to Federal prosecutors as part of the Special Counsel, to Robert Mueller’s investigation, said house-of the legislature on the offer during a closed door interview with the Committee in the past year. The transcript of the interview was published on Tuesday by Committee ranking member Doug Collins, R-Ga.


During his closed-door interview, Papadopoulos and his relationship with a Maltese Professor Joseph Mifsud, said that, said in an April 2016 to meet him, the Russians would have “dirt” that could damage Clinton’s 2016 campaign. Papadopoulos testified that his first encounter with the FBI was in the summer of 2016, when he was asked about a business man by the name of Sergei Millian, the chop and the Russian interference. Papadopoulos said, though, that Mifsud was not educated, until he mentioned his name.

“I took his name and said that a Maltese person by the name of Joseph Mifsud told me that the Russians have thousands of Hillary Clinton’s E-Mails,” he testified last year.

Papadopoulos said the legislator, that it is only his second encounter with the FBI, in the year 2017, he was asked to wire.

“You are basically telling it to me….we want you to go wear a wire after Joseph Mifsud, or to have any kind of information about him. I refused,” he said of the legislature. “[FBI Agent Curtis Heath] asked me to wear a wire. And he told me, basically, that Washington wants answers, and you’re in the middle of this, so something like that to make it seem like I’m in some big trouble if I didn’t wear a wire against that person.”

“I refused,” he adds, noting that he will have a lawyer for his second encounter with the FBI.

Papadopoulos said the legislator, he was not sure, what are you doing Mifsud’s claims about Russia with dirt on Clinton to speculate since that time, “the people were open about it.”

“So, Yes, it was an interesting piece of information, but, you know, from this point, you have to understand, he had failed to imagine any substance in the Russian government,” Papadopoulos said. “So, he has failed to do that, but now all of a sudden he has the keys to the Kingdom, to a massive potential conspiracy that Russia is involved.”

Later, Papadopoulos said that during his third meeting with the FBI, “it didn’t even seem like they were interested in Mifsud, actually, even during the third session.”

In the meantime, Papadopoulos, on his relationship with Sergei Millian, a business man, has now been revealed to Trump the dossier was asked behind some of the obscene material contained in the anti -.

Papadopoulos said the legislator, that Millian contact with him on Linkedin at the end of July 2016, stating that he “could be helpful to the understanding of the U.S.-Russia relationship, and he would know of a good person.”

Papadopoulos explained that Millian acted “like he was very pro-trump,” and offered a meeting for him with the Russian-American leader. Papadopoulos noted that he felt that Millian “can the record of my conversation with him.”


Papadopoulos went on to testify that Millian had offered him a hearing opportunity to an individual he knew in Russia. Papadopoulos, at the time of the call, the work was on the Trump campaign, but pondered the next steps. He said Millian offered him $ 30,000 a month for the role.

Papadopoulos said that the legislators he felt at their meeting, that Millian was “wearing a wire-or he to me something about this proposal that he would talk.” Papadopoulos said the legislator, that Millian told him that if he had the opportunity, he would have to “work for Trump.”

“But then I have not felt, that he who seemed to be he, and that he is proposing on behalf of someone else as he is for me,” Papadopoulos explained, adding that the two met later in Chicago. “I thought that if he proposed this deal to me, face-to-face, he would have to wear some kind of wire. And he was acting very bizarre.”

He added: “Maybe I’m a paranoid person. But there were certain other events in relation to Sergei Millian, the made, make me think that he perhaps even in cooperation with the FBI.”

“He was looking for to take care of me with his eyes really, very nervous. And I looked at him just as this guy is, the attempt at an operation against me now, me for something,” Papadopoulos said, adding that he rejected the offer because he thought it was illegal.

Papadopoulos went on to describe his next encounter with Millian, which have taken place during the Trump – opening January, 2017 in Washington.

“It was my understanding that he had said at the meeting with Senator McCain and some other members of Congress with a member of his Aziz Choukri,” Papadopoulos said, adding that he later met Millian and Choukri for a drink.

“Aziz…Sergei…said, Oh, you know, Sergei works for the FBI,” Papadopoulos recalled. “A few days later, before I he comes to me in a conversation with the FBI, on the title page, which means Sergei Millian, as the source of the Steele dossier.”

The Wall Street Journal reported in the year 2017, according to the salacious anti-Trump dossier was published by BuzzFeed News that Millian was behind some of the materials that are included in the document, compiled by ex-British spy Christopher Steele.

The dossier by the intelligence services and the FBI obtained a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant against the former trump campaign aide to Carter page, and prompted the beginning of the Russia-investigation.

On Tuesday, Papadopoulos Fox News said he was “certain” Millian wore a wire to him when they met.

Papadopoulos was charged with false statements in Müller’s sample, came to the conclusion over the weekend, and was 14 days in jail in the past year.

According to state attorney General Bill Barr summary of Müller, the findings of, the special counsel, no evidence of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and Russia took place during the 2016 presidential campaign, despite the numerous offers.
