WASHINGTON – a lawyer of A former House Benghazi committee staffer, says the ex-staffer has filed a lawsuit against the panel and its chairman, South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy.
Air Force Reserve Major Bradley Podliska had claimed he was unlawfully dismissed because he was not willing to focus entirely on Hillary Clinton and the State Department during the panel’s investigation into the deadly 2012 attacks on AMERICAN facilities in Libya.
Attorney Peter Romer-Friedman said Monday that Podliska brought the case under unknown terms.
Gowdy said last year that Podliska was fired for mishandling of secret information. Podliska denied that, and claimed Gowdy him defamed.
Podliska said in the suit that the now-defunct Benghazi committee was involved in a non-partisan investigation of the Benghazi attacks, which killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
