Ewan McGregor was worried that the writer Philip Roth, his directorial debut bad would find.
McGregor presented Friday at the film festival of Toronto, his debut film American Pastoral, a film adaptation of the eponymous book by Philip Roth.
“It was important to me that Philip, the film’s well-liked”, says the Scottish director. “Last week, called my producer me to tell you that Philip, the film is immensely liked.”
“He said that we are book to the big screen have managed to translate. That was a huge relief. I had actually not even by how long I with fear have been that he might not would like.”
McGregor, who as an actor in Moulin Rouge and Star Wars, says quickly as a director can get to want. “I keep my eyes open.”
