European pilotenvakbonden want a registration system for small drones
European pilotenvakbonden, united in the European Cockpit Association (ECA), like that small drones be registered.
That is in a call the ECA on Monday published. “The recreational dronegebruik increases hand over hand the last time”, writes the ECA. “The associated risk of accidents and incidents with manned vliegverkeerd should be made as short as possible.”
In addition, the ECA also that the drones by means of geofence – where the devices software can not fly in certain areas – is made impossible in busy airspace.
It happens more and more pilots are reporting that they are drones on or near the runway. Only in the United Kingdom already this year, ten of that kind of incidents rerapporteerd. Also in the Netherlands, were until June 2016 for more incidents with drones in 2015.
Incidentally, in the United States already has a registration requirement for small drones that more than 250 grams and less than 25 pounds.
