European Commission wants free wi-fi in every European city
The European Commission wants every European city by the year 2020 free wi-fi in the centre of the city.
Chairman Jean-Claude Juncker, wants, in addition, that all Europeans, by 2025, have access to high-speed internet, via a 5G network. He expected that with these projects, two million jobs could be created.
Juncker did Wednesday in his annual ‘State of the Union’ various proposals to speed up the Digital Union. He repeated his promise that for roaming in member states outside the country from June 2017 no additional costs will be charged.
