Estafettevrouwen last in finals, Visser, seventh in 100 meter hurdles

The Dutch estafettevrouwen are Saturday at the world CHAMPIONSHIP of athletics in the 4×100 metres as the last ended in the final. Earlier Saturday, ran Nadine Visser to a seventh place in the final of the 100 metres hurdles.

In the estafettefinale came to the Netherlands, Tessa van Schagen, Dafne Schippers, Naomi, Sidney and Jamile Samuel, there are not only. Slotloopster Samuel lost a few places and ended up therefore last in 43,07.

The gold was for the United States (41,82), with Tori Bowie a rock-solid lock knew. Great Britain, with a time of 42,12 seized the silver and the bronze went to Jamaica, that 42,19 klokte.

At the last moment there was a change in the Dutch team. Van Schagen replaced Madiea Ghafoor, who after the series last of her calf was given and before the start of the final battle to be much disturbed of that injury.


In the finals of the 100 meter hurdles rushed into the Australian Sally Pearson in the final to a time 12,59. Silver was there for the American Dawn Harper-Nelson in 12,63. The German Pamela Dutkiewicz grip in 12,72 to the bronze.

Fisherman could on the first 50 metres, good stay, but got then back. They finished in a time of 12,83. That was the same time as in the semi-finals.

The 22-year-old Fisherman was on the basis of its time for the final battle. That was a first, as a Dutch woman never had managed to qualify for a world cup final on the part.

The netherlands finished last in the final of the 4×100 metres.

The gold was for the USA.

Nadine Visser is the seventh ended in the world cup finals in the 100 meter hurdles.

The title went to the Australian Sally Pearson.

The 4×400 meter-women were disqualified because of a false change of Madiea Ghafoor and Lisanne de Witte.

The Dutch estafettevrouwen qualified for the final of the 4×100 metres.

With Dafne Schippers, second loopster klokte Orange 42,64, good enough to serve as one of the two tijdsnelsten by the way.

The Dutch mannenploeg had less success. Hensley Paulina, Taymir Burnet, Giovanni Codrington and Liemarvin Bonevacia lost in the series.

Sintnicolaas walked out of his injury in the 110 meter hurdles.

Eelco Sintnicolaas kept it after the seventh component seen on the decathlon.

Visser, who earlier this week as the seventh was ended on the internet, was not completely satisfied with her race. “I came a little too quickly upright position, it went not so good over the first hurdle”, she said to the NOS. “I then came on passage, but at the end it was a little sloppy.”

They recognized, however, that they very much enjoyed the atmosphere in the stadium. “Of course it was super cool to be there. It was quite a chaotic race. It went by so fast. I knew I had the race of my life had to walk for a podium finish.”

In the run-up to the final had the athlete to suffer from stiffness in a hamstring, but that bothered her not in the finals. “It is well loosened up, that was also not a problem.”

Tienkamper Pieter Braun ended after the last part, the 1500 metres, as zesteinde in the standings with 7890 points. The Frenchman Kevin Mayer conquered the world title with 8768 points. The German Rico Freimuth took silver (8564 points) and his compatriot Kai Kazmirek won bronze with 8488 points.

Braun was after the failure of Eelco Sintnicolaas is still the only Dutch athlete in the decathlon. Sintnicolaas got earlier on Saturday because of hamstringklachten.
