Escaped Georgia inmate named as a defendant in a Florida murder

An escaped Georgia, prison, prisoner, is now a suspect in the shooting death of a Florida man whose body was discovered on Monday, the researchers say.

Stephen Michael Smith, 34, will not be back from his work detail in August.15, at the Clayton Transaction Center in Clayton County, where he served a 10-year prison sentence for robbery.

On Monday, the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office has identified Smith as the prime suspect in the murder of a 30-year-old Daniel Lee Upton, of Lakeland, Fla.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office announced the arrest of a Destination, Like Terry, 44, an account of the principal in the second degree, murder. In a statement, the office said, Upton has been able to identify Smith as the person who shot him, and added that Terry, who was present at the time.

The sheriff’s office said that Terry has “helped facilitate the connection between Smith and Upton,” but does not elaborate further. The statement added that the murder is suspected to be the result of a drug deal gone wrong.

Lee, was on Monday found dead at a house in Port St. Joe, in a low-density community in the Florida panhandle.

The Georgia Department of Corrections, issued a search for Smith on Tuesday, and the u.s. Marshals Service offered a $10,000 reward for his capture.

He was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 180 pounds, with tattoos on his arms and the nape of the neck.
