Erland Galjaard not panic due to disappointing viewer ratings RTL4
RTL4 has an unfortunate start of the new televisieseizoen with disappointing ratings. That is for the programme director Erland Galjaard, however, no reason for panic.
“It’s still bizarre the weather is nice”, defends Galjaard in the AD the low scores. “And the absolute figures take anywhere. Also, for example, Radar and Memories on NPO1, which is usually around two million viewers to score. That does not mean that our programs will fail.”
He will find that the program Yes, I want… a cake still not works well. That it is a rip-off of all of Holland Bakes, denies he. “It would be very naive to want to. It is a very different format. But it is against the development,” says the RTL-boss. That is both quantitative as program content is seen. “Afterwards you have to conclude that it is a bit on the thin side.”
With Dance Dance Dance, RTL Late Night and RTL Boulevard has the transmitter, however, still plenty of programs that are ‘untouched’, says Galjaard. “From October 2 to start the new ziekenhuisserie Central Medical Centre, Miljoenenjacht returns again; then we go back a very good score, I have confidence in. I see no reason to be nervous.”
