Turkey is preparing for the biggest operation ever against Kurdish militants of the PKK. The action should take place in the south-east of the country.

At the same time, steps are taken to public bodies to purge of supporters of the Kurdish PKK.

President Erdogan of Turkey said Thursday that officials with ties to the Kurds from the public system to be removed. He called that a “key element” in the fight against the rebellious Kurds. The president said this in a speech in the capital Ankara for provincial governors. Thursday were immediately 11.500 teachers suspected of having ties with the PKK suspended.

The invasion of Turkish army units in Northern Syria with the intention of a buffer zone to create against the terrorist organisation Islamic State, is still maintained, according to Erdogan.
