English team is second in the world cup Chinese cooking
A Dutch team, consisting of chefs from Michelin-restaurant HanTing Cuisine in The Hague and UMAMI by Han from Eindhoven, came second at the world CHAMPIONSHIPS of Chinese cooking.
A team from Shanghai was first, reports HanTing Cuisine Thursday. The event was for the first time outside Asia taken into account: in Ahoy Rotterdam.
During the tournament gave the teams an assignment to eight dishes in 150 minutes to prepare. The jury consisted of seven Chinese and a dozen international members.
From all over the world were master chefs for these championships to the Netherlands. The eighth world cup was held from Monday to Wednesday. Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb of Rotterdam opened the competition Monday.
The netherlands won at the previous world cup in Singapore two gold medals.
