Emma Watson will be starring in Cinderella af
Emma Watson, who is soon to be seen as Belle in the live-action film adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, said ” no ” to the lead role in Cinderella, the Disney film from 2015.
The actress (26) tells in an interview with Total Film that she is the character Cinderella, who eventually was played by Lily James, not a good role model.
“When I took the role turned down, I did not know that they have a new version started making of Beauty and the Beast,” says Watson.
“Then I got the lead role in that film offered and I found the character of Belle a lot more to me than the role of Cinderella. She is curious, considerate, and open. That is the kind of woman that I want to embody.”
“Belle is a bit outside of the boat, has their own opinion and does not a lot of others. I find that very inspiring.”
In the new version of the animated cartoon from 1991 is Belle, an inventor, a suggestion that was done by Watson. The Harry Potter actress just wanted to play the main role as they are such substantive changes should make in consultation with director Bill Condon.
“I wondered: what does she do all day? And why is she a misfit, except that they read books?”, told the British actress was previously in Entertainment Weekly.
“So invented we have a story for her. Now she is the inventor; she has a washing machine invented, so that they do not have to wash and more time to read.”
