SAO PAULO (Reuters) – the Brazilian electrical engineering company WEG SA said on Wednesday it had signed an agreement with the brazilian planemaker Embraer SA for the development of new technology for electric propulsion systems for aircraft.
It said in a statement that the first test flight for an innovative electric motor developed jointly by the companies is planned for 2020 with a single-engine EMB-203 Ipanema aircraft.
