Elle Fanning will be starring in popmuziekfilm Teen Spirit
The eighteen-year-old Elle Fanning (Maleficent) will be the key role to play in Teen Spirit, a film about a singer who wants to break into the pop music.
That reports The Hollywood Reporter. The film is directed by Max Minghella, the son of the now deceased oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella (The English Patient). Teen Spirit is his debut.
“It is great to be with Elle to work,” says Minghella, who is also the creator of the movie. “She not only has an extraordinary singing voice, but also the emotional complexity that this character can bring.”
Teen Spirit is a Eastern-European, shy teenager who dreams to the village where she lives to leave and be a pop star. With the help of a mentor, she participated to an international singing competition, facing her integrity, talent and ambition to the test.
The soundtrack of the film will be released by Interscope Records, who is also the music of La La Land has released.
