Ehizibue leaves PEC Zwolle and signs for four years with FC Köln

Kingsley Ehizibue put his career in the Bundesliga. The 24-year-old right back makes the move from PEC Zwolle to 1. FC Köln.

Ehizibue signed a contract for four seasons with Köln. It is unknown what amount of the transfer is involved.

In Zwolle had Ehizibue a contract until the summer of 2020. He came since the season 2014/2015 for PEC.

The defender made in October 2014, making his debut in the main body of PEC. In total he played in 131 official games for the ‘Blauwvingers’ and in it he scored nine times. Last season he came to 35 duels and one goal.

Ehizibue is the fourth player this summer, departing from Zwolle. Previously left Younes Namli (FC Krasnodar), Erik Israelsson (Valerenga) and Mickey van der Hart (Lech Poznan) the club. On the other hand, the final arrival of Kenneth Paal, who last season was hired from PSV.

Köln returns after years of absence back in Bundesliga

Köln returns next season after a year absence back in the Bundesliga. The ‘Geissböcke’ were last season champion in the Second Bundesliga.

Ehizibue is delighted with his move to Köln. “I have a good feeling at 1. FC Köln and meaning in the new season, but will PEC Zwolle also definitely going to miss. One thing is for sure; I will set this club for always in my hearts.”
