Egypt replaces Cameroon, as the organizer, Africa Cup 2019

Egypt was on Tuesday chosen as the host country for the Africa Cup of 2019. The North African country replaces Cameroon, in november the status of the organizer was taken away.

Reason for Cameroon the organisation to take was that the country is not prepared enough would be at the tournament.

African countries had then to 31 december the chance to report as kandidaatorganisator. Morocco was mentioned as a viable option, but the battle was ultimately between South Africa and Egypt.

The decision was actually scheduled for Wednesday, but was suddenly 24 hours brought to the front. After a vote (sixteen to one) came to Egypt as the winner.

Egypt was three times before organizer

It is the fourth time that Egypt’s Africa Cup of organizes. The last time was in 2006, when ‘The Pharaoh’s’ in your own country, the title grabbed, and also in 1986 and 1959 Egypt was the host country. Two years ago lost to Egypt in the final in Gabon with a 2-1 Cameroon).
