Edwin Evers takes this Friday, after a 21 year leave of Radio 538. The Hardenberger has full confidence in his successor, Frank Dane, though he can also see differences between him and his ten-year younger replacement.
“The biggest difference between him and me? I’m perhaps what volkser than he is. I’m curious what he will do. I am very happy with him, someone with quality. And although he is an experienced radio producer, he can continue to evolve by a lot of flying hours to make. I recommend him to close by himself.”
The 47-year-old Evers was after he, in march announced a stop at Radio 538, a lot of messages. “The positive reactions that I got, confirm for me that it is the right decision,” says the radio dj.
Yet he considers his departure, not as something final. “I see it not as a farewell. I just don’t know where and when I come back. I want me not to tie myself down. I prefer next year to come to the conclusion what I want. I want the real experience, and me not be able to capture. It goes back itch.”

Evers focuses preliminary on making music
Preliminary deposit Evers in his own band and writing music. “The tour is in January and February still, but in march the tour again. A fine idea is that I’m on the stage without the idea that I was there early the next morning.”
In addition to making music, wants to Evers, other artists help. “With the writing of the new single I see of joe Smith, I am a new avenue. And I also for Elske DeWall written. That had always in-between. Now I have more time and all space. I don’t know where it leads, but I find it fun to do.”
Special song made for the radio-dj
The dj was Wednesday morning in his ochtendshow surprised with a farewell song. The team of the producer showed together with well-known friends such as Jeroen van der Boom, Gerard Joling and Glennis Grace the specially written song, to the tune of We Are The World, heard in Evers staat op.
Evers responded then emotional on the song.”This touches me greatly. Jeez, what do I find this violently. I knew absolutely nothing at all. But thank you, really crazy.”
