Ed Sheeran is celebrating his two year anniversary of life without a mobile phone.
The “Perfect” singer took to Instagram to share why he took a broke from his phone.
The singer decided to detach from his phone in December 2015, and followers are told, “I find myself seeing the world through my screen and not my eyes, so I take this occasion to me is not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world and see everything I missed.”

Since then, Sheeran is back with a new album, “s” and told E! News, “I feel as if life is a matter of balance, and my life is not in balance. At the scales in balance, oddly enough.”
Sheeran’s social media detox is not exclusive for Instagram. The star has also been removed from Twitter in July, after a frustrating experience with internet trolls. Sheeran told The Sun in an interview that he was really affected by Twitter trolls and comments.
“I’m going to go and there is nothing, but people say mean things. A comment ruins your day. But that is why I am come from,” he said.
Now that Sheeran has returned to the public eye, though he still doesn’t have a mobile phone, he is still connected with your friends, family and fans on other ways to ensure that social media stress.
“I bought an iPad, and then I just work out of e-mail, and it is so much less stress,” Ed shared. “I don’t know wake up in the morning and reply 50 messages of people asking for things. It’s like I wake up and have a cup of tea.”
