Dutch entries grab in addition to students-Oscar
The two Dutch movies in the race were for a Student Academy Award outside of the awards.
The award ceremony was Thursday held in Los Angeles.
In the category of best foreign film was Lazarus, from director Gonzalo Fernandez, a screenwriter Marielot van der Slikke and producer Julia Rombout, together with eighteen other titles nominated. Lazarus is an absurdist road movie about a mother who no longer has to live for.
In the category best documentary was My Silicone Love, about a man who thirteen lifelike dolls and loves them as if the real people are, by director Sophie Dros and producer Eleanor the Rich in the race. In this category there were seven titles selected.
The Student Academy Awards are set annually by the organization of the Oscars awarded to the best student films in the world. This year was a record of 1749 titles from around the world submitted.
