Dutch cinemas to experience good year
The Dutch cinemas are heading for a record year. The turnover of all the theatres until september 12 to 192 million euro. In 2015 was on the same day, 181 million euros converted.
This is evident from the figures of film distributors in the Netherlands. The trend seems to be for the next four months: there are still a lot of great titles on the agenda.
So go in november and december, the Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and the Star Wars spinoff Rogue One in premiere. There is also a large Dutch films, such as the boekverfilming Tonio, the thriller Prey by Dick Maas and the Carry Slee film Caps.
In 2015, the total turnover of the Dutch cinemas 276 million euros. The total number of bioscoopbezoeken rose to 33 million. Since 1967, one year in the Netherlands not so many people to the film.
The most visited bioscooptitels this year until now, Finding Dory, Jungle Book and Huisdierengeheimen. Further, there were The Revenant (with Leonardo DiCaprio) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens very well. The best-visited Dutch films up to now were Rokjesdag, Kneeling on a bed of violins and Bon Bini Holland.
