Dozens of deaths in clashes in Libyan capital of Tripoli

During heavy fighting between rival militias in the Libyan capital of Tripoli on Friday dozens of people to the life to come.

According to Reuters, there are at least 28 deaths, including civilians. 120 people would have been injured.

In Tripoli fighting two governments to power: the internationally recognized “government of national unity” and a self-proclaimed “government of national salvation”, which is linked to islamists.

Troops of the last government had Friday, that of the ‘unity government’ attacked. Eyewitnesses in several districts spoke about heavy fighting, and columns of smoke above the city.

In the North-African country there since the fall of former leader Muammar Kaddafi in 2011 in chaos and a civil war.

The government of national unity was formed under the mediation of the UN, but her influence reaches much further than Tripoli. In the east of Libya, and demands a third party ‘government’ the power on.
