‘Donorkind more in search of father”
Donorkinderen are increasingly looking to their biological fathers. More and more children, through dna-research to donors search.
Every year approximately ninety children to locate their biological father. This year that number has more than doubled: a total of 214 children enrolled already in the Fiom KID-DNA Database, reports AD.
“A large part of the donorkinderen born from anonymous donorzaad do not know that they have a zaaddonor begotten”, says policy adviser Hans van Hooff. “Donorkinderen that of their history to know, are becoming more common in the publicity. That contributes to the familiarity of the KID’s DNA Database.”
Since the creation of the database in 2010 have more than a thousand children enrolled who are looking for the spermadonor. Donorkinderen and donor dna and the Canisius-Wilhelmina Hospital in Nijmegen, the profiles analyses.
More and more donors register for the dna test. “They realize how important it is for a donorkind is when they are with information.” Until 2004, donated men, often anonymously, by transplant organ banks. Some 40,000 children understand who their father is.
