In a statement on Thursday, the couple said: “After 12 years of marriage we have decided to go our separate ways. We always have great respect for each other and our families. We have five wonderful children, and it remains a top priority for us. We ask for their privacy during this time.”
And Vanessa Trump Jr married in 2005. Page Six reported earlier this week that the couple has to fight through marital problems.
The White house declined to comment to Fox News.
Last month, Vanessa was hospitalized after a letter with white powder that later as a non-hazardous, New York City, police told Fox News.
The president’s daughter-in-law opened the letter to Donald Jr. in the couple’s Manhattan apartment. It is still unclear what was the white powder.
He tweeted at the time that he was “grateful that Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed, according to the incredibly frightening situation occurred that this morning. Really disgusting that certain people choose to Express their opposing views with such disturbing behavior.”
Trump Jr ditched his Secret Service Details for a period of time, in September, supposedly because he wanted more privacy. Sources told page Six that Vanessa is a private person.
But his detail was reactivated about a week later.
