Chuck Patterson and his friends were on their boat, the hydrofoil surfing, when the dolphins were in the waters off the coast of Laguna Beach. The pod and began following in their wake, and around the ship. The dolphins swam alongside and jumped out of the water as they raced beside the boat.

“Certainly a great witness of this huge pod of young dolphins that have marched along the coast to Laguna Beach today,” Patterson wrote on Facebook. “Mother Nature’s amazing wonders and miracles will never be disappointed.”
Patterson told Reuters there were probably more than 100 of the dolphins, who rushed them to the shore.

“They seemed to be really happy, you could really feel the energy,” Patterson told the outlet that the mega-pod.
