PIGEON FORGE, Tennessee. (Novum / AP) — Dolly on’s Dollywood theme park has announced a $37 million extension with roller coasters, a restaurant and live entertainment.
The extension is called Wildwood Grove, and is scheduled to open in the next year.
Dollywood said in a press release that the investment meets the company’s 2013 commitment of $300 million over a period of 10 year, four years earlier than planned.
The extension will be six ride attractions with a suspended family roller coaster called The Dragonflier. There will also be several indoor and outdoor playgrounds for families.
on says in the press release that Wildwood Grove gives visitors a place to “explore, play and imagine together — but more importantly it is a place where they can spend more time together.”
