After fans reacted badly to the change, Disney has apparently decided that in order to remove the property from the Main Street Cinema at Disneyland.
On Monday, Fox News reported that Disney was added to cash registers and merchandise racks of the classic attraction. The Main Street Cinema is one of Disneyland’s oldest attractions, and was there when the park opened in 1955. Fans took to social media to voice their concerns about the change to the feature.
While some of these reports claimed that the cinema had been changed, and there is a gift shop, and Disney confirmed to Fox News that it is still the lifeline of the film, and it was up to her usual schedule, from the classic Disney animated film. The most important change was that the fans would be able to buy souvenirs, while the inside of the site.
Now it seems that Disney has been removed from the articles and replaced on the display with the seats. Fans have been posting pictures and videos of the current main street Cinema-set-up-to-the-Tweet. One user commented that “All of the merch is pulled out of the Main Street Cinema. Thank you for doing the right thing @DisneylandToday.”
If the goods had originally been added to the site, and a spokesperson for Disney, he gave Fox News the following statement: “A spokesman for Disney did on Fox News with the following statement: “We will continue to work with the Main Street Cinema and the theatre, and there have been no changes made to the films. We are looking for a wide variety of ways in order to drive interest in this sought-after location.”
Theme Park Insider reports that the merchandise racks are just a test to see the number of visitors to the venue, and the fans expect more tests in the future.
Disney will not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
