‘The Lion King’, still one of the most beloved Disneyklassiekers, gets a remake with real characters.
The Lion King’, the hyperpopulaire savanneavontuur about the leeuwenwelp Simba, will be displayed on the screen in a version with true-to-life people and animals. Jon Favreau will the live-action film directing with the latest techniques. The American, who is also The Jungle Book edited with modern magic, made Wednesday, are ‘project’ itself known with a tweet. A moment later, confirmed Walt Disney Studios the news in a press release. A release date has not yet been communicated.

It is not the first time that Disney, in its own archive grabbelt, looking for inspiration for a new project. Earlier, it was the film up with ‘Cinderella’, a real version of Cinderella, and in 2014 gave actress Angelina Jolie shape to the villain ‘Maleficent’ from the classic Sleeping beauty story. Next year the updated version of ‘Beauty and the beast’ in the halls, with Emma Watson in the lead role. (DB)
