Disney does not think that Star Wars Rogue One figures The Force Awakens gets
Disney does not expect the new Star Wars film Rogue One with the same number of visitors will pick up when The Force Awakens.
In an interview with Variety said Disney ceo Bob Iger that the studio has never been based on the figures from The Force Awakens, that worldwide, 2.1 billion dollar (1.9 billion euro) the yield and thus on the third place of highest-earning films ever. However, says the Organisation that the interest in the trailers and posters of the film is similar to that of its predecessor.
Rogue One is the first so-called stand-alone film in the Star Wars series. The story is set in the universe of Luke Skywalker, but has not the same main characters as the seven Star Wars movies, which until now were fulfilled.
Disneybaas Iger was also know recently with Lucasfilm to have talked about the plans for Star Wars after 2021. Lucasfilm is the company of George Lucas, the creator of the Star Wars saga, the first movie came out in 1977. Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012.
