Director Michiel van Erp knighted

Director Michiel van Erp is a Sunday, a royal honour. He was during the slotmiddag of ‘his’ filmweek in cinema het Ketelhuis in Amsterdam knighted in the Order of the Dutch Lion.

The ribbon was awarded by the alderman Kajsa Ollongren, and Paul the Lion.

Of Erp this year 25 years active as a director. From 1 to september 4 were in The boiler House are series and documentaries screened and there will be various activities taking place in the work of Erp to celebrate. The director (1963) broke through with the tv series Long Live… but is best known for documentaries such as Amusement park of the Netherlands, Fear, I Am a Woman Now and MH17: The sorrow of the Netherlands.

His remarkable drama series Ramses (2014) won a dozen international prizes. Currently preparing the director, his feature debut, the film adaptation of the novel No one in the city of Philip Huff. For this project, it was Sunday afternoon a crowdfundingcampagne launched.
