Dick Van Dyke plays in the new Mary Poppins
Dick Van Dyke has a role in the new film around the iconic nanny Mary Poppins, so he reports to The Hollywood Reporter. The now 91-year-old actor starred in the original 1964 and chimney sweep Bert.
It is not yet known what the role of the elderly actor. Although Bert is not in the new film, is a similar character already taken by Hamilton-star Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also made the music for the new Mary Poppins.
The film tells the story of an adult Michael and Jane Banks, the children from the original movie. A quarter of a century after the adventures from that film, get the Banks children enjoyed a visit from their favorite nanny, now played by Emily Blunt.
Also, Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury and Meryl Streep have roles in the new film, which is around the holiday season of 2018 to the cinema to see. Already rumoured to be also the original Mary Poppins Julie Andrews, makes its appearance in Mary Poppins Returns. The now 81-year-old actress has that news not yet confirmed.
