Diabetesprijs to smart waarschuwpleister
The Radboud Hospital in Nijmegen as the winner for the best idea to make the life of diabetics easier, made to the Diabetes Fund Monday known.
The researchers devised a clever ‘waarschuwpleister’ that a change of the heart rhythm by a too low blood sugar signals. The hospital receives 50,000 euros to the Hypo Plaster’ to work out.
Also attacked three other ideas in the prices. So the VUMC in Amsterdam 50,000 euros for the development of an app for people with diabetes to help with tips, information and exercises.

The foundation of the Know Better Do Better was awarded for the tv program “Cooking back to our Roots’. The program shows how you as a non-westerner with diabetes healthy eating within one’s own culture. The authors of these ideas each receive 25,000 euros.
The Diabetes Fund provides annual financial support to large-scale scientific research into diabetes. “But we also wanted a small-scale ideas to support that in the short term, an improvement in the lives of people with diabetes,” says Hanneke Dessing, director of the fund.
