Deputy national security adviser to leave the White House

WASHINGTON – Deputy National security adviser Dina Powell will leave the Trump administration early next year.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders says in a statement that Powell had always planned to serve for a year before returning to New York.

Expect them to continue to work with the administration on Middle East policy out of the White House.

The national security advisor, H. R. McMaster said in a statement that Powell “has been an invaluable member of President Trump’s team” who rode in an attempt to restore our nation’s strategic competence.”

He says: ‘we look forward to being with her, as she continues to support the Administration’s efforts on Middle East peace and other issues.”
