Deputies: Men used bombs to get rid of unwanted guests

BALDWIN PARK, Fla. – Authorities say two Florida men had an unusual plan for getting a number of unwanted guests to leave the hotel — they allegedly exploded bombs to scare them.

Orlando prosecutors charged 56-year-old Bruce Steffenhagen and the 37-year-old Nathan Martin with felony explosives charges after the two were arrested during a Tuesday confrontation with police officers.

According to the court documents, Martin told Orange County sheriff’s investigators Steffenhagen wanted to kick two people out of an apartment attached to his house. He told investigators he and Steffenhagen decided to explode two acid bombs in the garden to scare them enough to make them leave.

Detectives say Steffenhagen told them that he knew that the bombs would explode, but I don’t think it’s a big deal.

Both were held on Wednesday, the $ 15,000 bail.
